Advancing sustainable rice farming through precision GHG estimation
We utilize chamber-based measurements, recommended by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and endorsed by the Clean Development Mechanism’s and The Gold Standard, to measure GHG fluxes in reference farms. Our research spans five of India’s six rice-related Agro-Ecological Zones (AEZs) and focuses on developing site-specific emission factors. We evaluate different rice cultivation methods (PTR, AWD, DSR) and their impact on emissions, considering factors like residue management and irrigation practices.
