Responsible Consumption and Production: The Good Rice Alliance Initiative significantly reduces the carbon footprint of rice cultivation by employing responsible farming practices, minimizing resource consumption, and cutting emissions.
Climate Action: Transitioning from traditional flooding practice to AWD and DSR curbs GHG emissions, specifically methane, and instituting proper water management to prevent groundwater depletion, contributing to climate resilience.
Partnerships for the Goals: The Good Rice Alliance Initiative epitomizes a sustainable, collaborative effort, uniting multiple partners including corporate entities and grass-root organisations, across states and regions.
